An area transient was literally trying to clean up his act when he was discovered showering in someone’s apartment last week.
Police say they received a report from the Hawkridge Apartments the afternoon of August 31st, saying that 24-year-old Steven Wilson was on the property. Wilson was known to authorities, as he has a criminal record including several trespass warnings in the past. In this instance, the residents of one of the apartments called management, saying that there was a man in their apartment that they didn’t know. It turned out to be Wilson, who somehow made his way inside.
When management went to the apartment to ask him to leave, he was taking a shower. Officers located Wilson in the bathroom and trespassed him.
Earlier this year, Wilson reached a plea deal with prosecutors on charges of theft, operating a vehicle without owner consent, and eluding. His two year prison sentence was suspended and he was given two years probation. Last week’s incident was a violation of his probation, and a warrant was issued for his arrest. He was taken into custody Friday night.
