The US Department of Housing and Urban Development has made new funding available to the State of Iowa for disaster recovery from the August 2020 derecho.

A pool of $2.5 million will be made available to homeowners in Linn County for derecho related repairs that have not been completed and were not covered by insurance or other funding sources.

The funding is not yet available, but the City of Cedar Rapids is seeking public input from homeowners to identify needs. Information obtained through an online survey will assist in connecting homeowners to resources when funds become available.

The survey link is available at https://arcg.is/av5D.
