James Avenue…which runs north along the southeast side of the Hawkeye Wildlife Area and Babcock Access just south of the Iowa River between North Liberty and Cou Falls…will be closed for road work beginning on Monday.
The work will consist of cleaning out ditches, regrading road surfaces, and adding a fresh layer of road stone. The closure is expected to last at least four weeks.
The Department of Natural Resources says the work will improve the road conditions for visitors enjoying the area.
