One firefighter was injured battling a Friday afternoon blaze in Cosgrove.
According to the North Liberty Fire Department, Oxford firefighter Travis Walters sustained 3rd degree burns. He was kept overnight at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics due to the extent of his injuries.
According to the Johnson County Joint Emergency Communications Center, firefighters were called to 1997 Alex Way SW just before 3:45pm for a fully engulfed structure. Oxford fire crews were joined by firefighters from North Liberty, Iowa City, Coralville, Hills, Tiffin and Kalona.
A damage estimate and cause have not been released.
