An Iowa City woman was arrested earlier this week after allegedly trying to use a stolen credit card to pay her bar tab.
Police were called to Brothers on South Dubuque Street after 46-year-old Micole Lane of Hawks Ridge Drive reportedly attempted to pay her $33 bar bill with a credit card that was not in her name and had been cancelled. She allegedly smelled of ingested alcohol, had slurred speech, and had urinated herself on a bar stool and the floor.
Lane then presented a card in her name to pay the bill, which was declined.
She was arrested and charged with public intoxication, 5th degree theft, and unauthorized use of a credit card. If convicted on the charges, Lane faces up to 26 months in jail.
