An Oxford man has been sentenced to 30 years in federal prison for producing child pornography.

33-year-old Aaron Tripses was sentenced Wednesday on a Production of Child Pornography charge. Investigators responding to a domestic assault call at Tripses’ Black Hawk Avenue residence in 2020 reportedly learned he had pornographic images and video of children on his phone.

Multiple search warrants executed on Tripses electronic devices turned up 1,400 images and videos of Tripses engaging in sex acts with a minor, including acts of violence. There were also videos of women that appear to have been taken without their knowledge.

Tripses was sentenced to two years in prison in November of 2020 on a Domestic Abuse Assault Causing Injury charge. Once Tripses serves his 30-year child pornography sentence, he must enter the Iowa Sex Offender Registry and he will have seven years of supervised release.
