Lone Tree man accused of burglarizing city’s American Legion in 2021 arrested

A Lone Tree man who reportedly caused thousands of dollars in damage to the city’s American Legion Hall last year has been arrested.

According to deputy reports, 37-year-old Seth Westfall of North Devoe Street forced entry to the Legion just before 1 am on March 18^th, 2021, damaging the main entry door, the bar exit door, a storage room door, and an arms room door. Westfall is also accused of taking approximately $800 from a lockbox.

Damage estimates exceeded $11,400.

A warrant was issued for Westfall’s arrest on May 23^rd; he was taken into custody early Tuesday. He’s been charged with 1^st degree Criminal Mischief, 3^rd degree Burglary, and 4^th degree Theft. If convicted on all counts, Westfall could be sentenced to up to sixteen years in prison.
