A search warrant executed on a Solon residence has led to the arrest of an Iowa City man.

Reports indicate that the warrant was executed on March 16th at 11 am at the residence of 26-year-old Taylin Anderson, whose ID shows an address on Dover Street.  During the search, numerous firearms were allegedly found, complete with loaded magazines, in Anderson’s bedroom. They included a Glock 19 9mm handgun, a Glock 32 Gen 4 .357 handgun, a Draco 7.62 mm handgun, and a Smith & Wesson 40 caliber handgun. Photos and videos with Anderson in possession of numerous firearms were also reportedly located.

Drugs were also allegedly located on premises. Officers found approximately 252 grams of meth in the common area, some pressed into pill form and disguised as MDMA. Also found were 123 grams of marijuana and 342 grams of marijuana extract. A search of Anderson’s phone indicated that he had been involved in the sale of narcotics.

As a convicted felon on theft and burglary charges, Anderson is ineligible to possess firearms.

A warrant for his arrest was issued on May 13th; he was taken into custody late Wednesday afternoon. Anderson was charged with four counts of Dominion or Control of a Firearm as a Felon, a Class D Controlled Substance violation and a Class B Controlled substance violation. If convicted on all charges, Anderson faces a prison term of up to fifty years.
