An Iowa City man was arrested after he allegedly assaulted his live-in girlfriend because the two couldn’t agree to add another person to their sex life.
Police were reportedly flagged down by the woman in the 200 block of East Court Street at approximately 12:40 am. Officers were advised by the reporting party and victim that she and 26—year-old Leon Brown had gotten into a verbal argument about not having a threesome and began to physically fight.
The woman was punched in the face and had a visible injury to her lower lip. The two reportedly reside together and share a child together.
Brown was taken into custody and charged with Domestic Abuse Assault causing Injury, a serious misdemeanor punishable by a jail sentence of up to one year if convicted.
