An Iowa City woman is accused of seriously injuring another woman during a downtown assault.

20-year-old Raven Davenport of Westwinds Driver was booked into the Johnson County Jail just after 5am Friday. Iowa City Police say Davenport followed the victim into the basement of Pints on South Clinton Street around 1:30 last Sunday morning. The two began arguing about an incident the previous day. Police say the altercation escalated, with Davenport allegedly pulling the woman’s hair and punching and kicking her multiple times. The woman was treated for an orbital bone fracture at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.

Davenport is charged with Assault Causing Bodily Injury. If convicted, she faces a maximum of one year in jail.
