The Johnson County Conservation Board is hosting a public forum Monday night to discuss and hear comments about proposed improvements to the campground, shower house, and wastewater system at F.W. Kent Park.

Discussion topics will include site preparation, additional site utilities including a solar array, new paved surfaces for vehicles and pedestrians, a new septic system, a new showerhouse building, and a new woodshed building. Plans and specifications have been prepared and reviewed by Shive-Hattery Architecture and Engineering.

Copies of the proposed plans are currently available in-person at the Johnson County Auditor’s Office on South Dubuque Street in Iowa City and at the Johnson County Conservation offices at Kent Park on Highway 6, east of Oxford. They can also be found online at www.rapidsreproplanroom.com.

Monday night’s public forum is set for 5:30pm at the Johnson County Conservation Education Center at Kent Park.
