An Iowa City woman faces charges that she used another person’s debit card information to rack up hundreds of dollars in purchases.

Iowa City Police say 28-year-old Raichel Stewart of the Sunrise Village manufactured housing community on Scott Boulevard used the victim’s credit card information to set up CashApp on her and her boyfriend’s cellphones. Stewart then allegedly made $340 in purchases between April 1st and April 24th.

The alleged victim told police they had no idea how Stewart acquired their Mastercard debit card information and three-digit security code.

Stewart was booked into the Johnson County Jail just after 7:30 Friday night and charged with Unauthorized Use of a Credit Card. If convicted, she faces a maximum of two years in jail.
