One person was injured in a two-vehicle accident Friday night on Interstate 80, with one driver arrested for drunk driving.
According to the Johnson Country Sheriff’s Office, 40-year-old Jillian Masonholder of West Branch was driving her 2020 Ram 1500 Limited westbound on I-80 between the West Branch and Rochester Avenue exits when she struck another vehicle just before 7:30pm. The other party was injured.
Investigators say Masonholder then continued driving without stopping. She was later found by deputies, who reportedly detected signs of intoxication. Masonholder allegedly performed poorly on field sobriety testing, admitted to drinking prior to driving, and registered a breath alcohol level of .141%. She’s charged with Operating While Intoxicated.
