An Iowa City man faces charges that he stole over $350 in tequila from a North Liberty convenience store.

North Liberty Police say 23-year-old Russell Miller of Westgate Street and a female accomplice entered Casey’s on Highway 965 just after 7:30pm on March 29th and left with nine bottles of Patron tequila valued at $358.60. Surveillance video shows Miller leaving the store with the tequila, and Casey’s staff were able to obtain his license plate number.

Police located Miller’s vehicle, which allegedly still had the stolen bottles inside. Miller reportedly admitted to the theft.

Miller was charged Wednesday with 4th Degree Theft, a Serious Misdemeanor punishable by a maximum of one year in jail.
