North Liberty Police arrested an area man after he allegedly sold a stolen Xbox to a gaming business in January.

According to the criminal complaint, 18-year-old Clifton Brennan-Newman took the stolen item to Video Games Etc. in Coralville and sold it. The gaming system was reportedly stolen from a residence that Brennan-Newman was associated with.

During the alleged transaction, Brennan-Newman provided his driver’s license and used his actual signature to Video Games Etc. Police say he never had any intention of returning the system to the victim.

A warrant was issued for Brennan-Newman’s arrest on February 21st; he was arrested Tuesday and charged with 3rd degree Theft. If convicted, he faces a jail term of up to two years.
