Another Iowa county has declared themselves a Second Amendment Sanctuary County.
The Muscatine Journal reports that the Board of Supervisors voted unanimously on the resolution Monday.
Being a Second Amendment Sanctuary county means that their governments will not enforce federal laws they deem contrary to their right to bear arms.
Dave Funk is Iowa Firearms Coalition president; he thanked the Board for their unanimous vote and called it a “step forward towards making all of Iowa a Second Amendment Sanctuary.”
Muscatine County is the 34th county in Iowa to declare itself a Second Amendment Sanctuary since Jasper County initiated the action in July 2021.
