A University of Iowa student who was discovered by police urinating in public has been arrested.

18-year-old Daniel Knight of Casper Wyoming was discovered urinating on a building at the corner of Washington and Linn streets just after closing time Thursday. He was allegedly observed with bloodshot watery eyes, impaired speech, unsteady balance and had the odor of ingested alcohol.

Upon arrest, police allegedly discovered a completely fictitious Texas ID with his name and picture on it, making him appear to be of legal drinking age. A vape pen was also located in his pocket.

Knight refused a post arrest breath test.

He was charged with Public Urination, Public Intoxication, and Possession of a Fictitious ID. If convicted on all counts, Knight faces up to 13 months in jail.
