Allegedly threatening to shoot a construction crew working on his building, then locking himself in the property manager’s office has led to a Coralville man’s arrest.

Coralville Police say 26-year-old Devontae King confronted the construction crew outside of his apartment at the Iowa Lodge on the Coralville Strip at approximately 11:45 Friday morning. King allegedly put his hand in his pocket while telling the men he had a gun and was going to shoot them.

King then allegedly locked himself in the property manager’s office. While inside, police say he threatened to kill the manager as well as three others who were present inside the office.

King was eventually arrested and charged with two counts of 1st Degree Harassment. If convicted he faces a maximum of four years in prison.

Just last week King was arrested for allegedly threatening to kill a woman who had walked by his apartment.
