A Cedar Rapids man who a federal judge said was an unrepentant child predator was sentenced to 140 years in prison Tuesday.

The Gazette reports 30 year old Nathan Nosley was convicted on June 9th of last year on seven counts; sexual exploitation of children, receipt of child porn, distribution of child porn, three counts of child porn possession, and accessing child pornography. Testimony at trial indicated that Nosley persuaded two underage girls to send him pornographic images of themselves between 2018 and 2021. He maintained his innocence throughout the trial and declined to make a statement during Tuesday’s hearing.

During sentencing, US District Judge CJ Williams said the fact that Nosley showed no remorse and blamed one of the children for his acts “absurd,” adding that he has no empathy for the victims he abused.

Additionally, Nosley was accused of reportedly pulling a loaded handgun on investigators during his arrest.

Judge Williams ran the sentences consecutively and ordered the man to pay $3000 each in restitution to four child porn victims.
