A second suspect has been arrested on drug charges stemming from a shooting in Iowa City.
32-year-old Jonathan Killingsworth was booked into the Johnson County Jail just before 7:30 Thursday night. Iowa City Police were called to a shooting at Killingsworth’s Cayman Avenue residence on the afternoon of May 23rd, 2019. The victim was identified as 32-year-old Bryan Roach of Solar Street.

Police say 26 marijuana cartridges were found in the trunk of Roach’s vehicle, and investigators also reportedly recovered packaging material and a large amount of US currency. A search of Killingsworth’s bedroom reportedly turned up 100 grams of marijuana.

Last year Roach was given a five-year suspended sentence on a Controlled Substance Violation. Kilingsworth is now charged with Failure to Affix a Drug Tax Stamp, a Class D Felony punishable by a maximum of five years in prison.
