North Liberty Police have arrested a suspect in a police chase from last month.
According to arrest records, officers pulled over a black 2005 Mercedes S430 just before 7:45am on December 30th near Ranshaw Way and Lions Drive because it lacked a license plate. The driver, later identified as 21-year-old Alexander Vaughn of Springville, allegedly refused to get out of the vehicle, then sped away. Officers were unable to catch him.
Vaughn was booked into the Johnson County Jail just after 12:45 Tuesday morning and charged with Eluding, Driving While Barred, Interference With Official Acts and various traffic and equipment violations. If convicted on all charges, he faces a maximum of 25 months in jail.
