Trial originally scheduled for next month in the murder of a Cedar Rapids family has been moved to spring.
20-year-old Alexander Jackson is accused of murdering his parents, 61-year-old Jan Jackson, 68 year-old Melissa Jackson, and his sister, 19-year-old Sabrina Jackson.
Police found the victims at their home on June 15th. The suspect told authorities he was awakened by gunfire and was shot in the foot as he struggled with a masked intruder, but the criminal complaint indicates that there was no evidence of forced entry.
The trial was originally set of January 25th, but has been moved to start on April 5th. A case management conference is scheduled for February 11th.
Jackson remains in custody on a $3 million cash-only bond.
