A fourth arrest has been made in connection with a nightclub brawl last month that injured two Iowa City police officers.

20-year-old Cesar Santiago of the Hilltop manufactured housing community was booked into the Johnson County Jail just after 1:15 Thursday afternoon. Iowa City Police say a third-party witness observed Santiago striking a subject in the face and knocking him unconscious during a large fight at La Rumba on Lower Muscatine Road just after 2am on November 21st. The victim said the attack was unprovoked.

Three Illinois residents have already been charged in connection with the fight, which started about a half-hour before Santiago allegedly punched the other person.

29-year-old Selvin Torres Valladares of Silvis, 25-year-old Bessy Banegas of Silvis, and 26-year-old Maynor Nunez Ramirez of East Moline are each charged with Interference With Official Acts Causing Bodily Injury and Disorderly Conduct. Torres Valladares also faces two counts of Assault on Peace Officers Causing Injury, while Banegas faces an additional charge Assault on Persons in Certain Occupations. If convicted on all charges, Torres Valladares faces a maximum of over five years in prison, Banegas could spend up to 25 months in jail, and Nunez Ramirez could be sentenced to 13 months in jail.
