A food delivery driver has been arrested for drunk driving after Iowa City Police observed him pull his car onto a sidewalk in front of ICPD headquarters.
That’s according to arrest records, which indicate 20-year-old University of Iowa student Ethan Eiss of Geneva, Illinois pulled his 2018 Toyota Corolla off Washington Street onto the sidewalk in front of City Hall just after 8pm Saturday. Eiss reportedly told responding officers that he was driving for Uber Eats and got lost. He allegedly showed multiple signs of intoxication, admitted to drinking earlier in the day, and registered breath alcohol levels of .129% and .131%.
Eiss was arrested and charged with Operating While Intoxicated.
