A University of Iowa student faces charges that he was caught urinating on the school’s famous “Brain Rock”.
UI Police say 21-year-old John Schuebel of East College Street was observed on security video urinating on the rock on the T. Anne Cleary Walkway on North Capitol Street just after 2:45 Saturday morning. Arriving officers say Schuebel showed signs of intoxication and registered a breath alcohol level of .139%. He also allegedly had a fake Ohio driver’s license in his pocket.
Schuebel is charged with Public Intoxication, Public Urination and Possession of a Fake ID. If convicted on all charges, he faces a maximum of 13 months in jail.
