The city of Iowa City has released updates on two road construction projects.
The closure of Kimball Road east of North Gilbert Street has been extended due to weather and conflicts with existing utilities. Kimball Road is now expected to reopen by the end of the day next Saturday.
And Orchard Street between West Benton Street and Douglass Street remains closed due to utility and pavement reconstruction associated with the Orchard Street Reconstruction Project. It’s anticipated normal traffic there will resume by the end of the day on Friday, November 12th.
