The community manager for a mobile home park that suffered a fire last Friday is putting out a call for donations to help the residents whose homes were either destroyed or damaged.
Three homes burned down while a fourth suffered damage at the Regency Mobile Home Community that afternoon. No one was hurt, but the families lost nearly all their possessions. None had insurance.
A collection drive has been organized by the community; they’re seeking out household items, clothing, and other essentials. Men’s pants with 32 and 40 inch waists, shoes size 9 ½ and 10, and women’s shoes size 8 are needed, as are tops and sweatpants of all sizes.
Donations can be dropped off at the Regency office on Oak Crest Hill Road between 8 and 5 weekdays. Other times can be arranged by calling the office at 351-8808.
