West Des Moines woman arrested after attempted bank robbery

A West Des Moines woman was arrested Tuesday afternoon after attempting a bank robbery in Coralville.

According to police, 49-year-old Yevette Bradley of Grand Avenue entered the Wells Fargo Bank branch on the 300 block of 2nd Street just before 3pm. She proceeded to the counter and gave a teller a handrwritten note demanding money. The note also made a threat of murder if her demand wasn’t met.

Police arrived and arrested Bradley at the teller’s window, allegedly wearing clothes matching the description of her provided to officers. She’s been charged with 2nd degree Robbery, a Class C Felony punishable by a prison term of up to ten years if convicted.
