The latest Des Moines Register/Mediacom Iowa Poll shows former President Donald Trump has his first favorable rating since the pandemic began.
Trump is coming to Iowa Saturday for a rally at the Iowa State Fairgrounds, his first visit since the 2020 election. The poll shows his best showing ever, with 53% of Iowans having a favorable opinion of him, compared to 45 percent viewing him unfavorably.
The approval is diametrically polarized among the two parties. 91 percent of Republicans favor Trump, just ahead of their 90 percent approval rating for Governor Kim Reynolds and 81 percent approval for Senator Chuck Grassley.
99 percent of Democrats have an unfavorable opinion of the former President.
