A new trial date has been set for an Iowa City murder suspect.
Earlier this week, Judge Lars Anderson set a trial date of November 30th for 46-year-old Reginald Little of Cross Park Avenue.
Police believe Little was the gunman involved in the death of Kejuan Winters in his Broadway Street apartment on April 20th, 2020. Little, Durojaiye Rosa of Broadway Street and Patrick Bland of Rockford Illinois are all charged with first degree murder, punishable by life in prison if convicted. Rosa allegedly told investigators that the men entered Winters’ apartment only intending to rob him, not shoot him. Winters died at the scene.
Little’s trial was originally scheduled to start last month, but Anderson granted a continuance at the request of prosecuting attorneys. A case management conference is now set for October 29th.
