Firefighters responded to a Thursday afternoon blaze at Spence Labs on the University of Iowa campus.
The university sent a Hawkalert just after 3:45pm ordering the evacuation of the building, which is located on the 300 block of Iowa Avenue. The public was also asked to avoid the area.
A second Hawkalert sent at 3:54pm indicated the fire incident had been resolved and normal operations could resume.
No further information about the incident has been released.
