Two men allegedly involved in an alleged Broadway Street murder last year had court dates this week.

Police believe Reginald Little of Cross Park Avenue was the gunman involved in the death of Kejuan Winters in his Broadway Street apartment on April 20th, 2020. He, Durojaiye Rosa of Broadway Street and Patrick Bland of Rockford Illinois are all charged with first degree murder, punishable by life in prison if convicted. Rosa allegedly told investigators that the men entered Winters’ apartment only intending to rob him, not shoot him. Winters died at the scene.

Little’s trial was scheduled to start Tuesday, but judge Lars Anderson granted a motion for continuance when prosecuting  attorneys asked filed a motion in linime, which could either be a request to have testimony excluded or to allow inclusion of evidence. Little’s attorneys also filed a motion to have him transferred to a different detention facility. Judge Anderson ordered the state to review the motion and file a response no later than this Friday.  A new trial date has not been set.

22-year-old Jordan Hogan of Crosspark Avenue had a case management conference report Tuesday.  He’s accused of lying to detectives to help the suspects escape.  He faces an Obstructing Prosecution or Defense charge and could be sentenced to two years in prison if convicted. His next case management conference is scheduled for the morning of November 1st.
