The University of Iowa baseball and softball teams released their fall schedules this week.
Hawkeye baseball will officially begin fall practice Sept. 14 before hosting “Scout Day” on Sept. 17. The team’s first game will be Sept. 22 against the Mississagua Tigers at 3 p.m. (CT) at Banks Field.
Iowa will host Iowa Western Community College on Oct. 2 (during an Iowa football bye weekend) and Kirkwood Community College on Oct. 8 before wrapping up the fall with the best-of-three Black & Gold World Series from Oct. 18-20.
The Hawkeye softball team opens the fall season in Iowa City against Illinois State and Indian Hills on Sept. 26 at noon and 5 p.m. (CT) respectively. Iowa will travel to Cedar Falls for the Big 4 Classic against Northern Iowa, Drake and Iowa State on Oct. 1-3.
Other games this fall at Pearl Field include matchups against Iowa Wesleyan on Oct. 15, DMACC on Oct.22 and Kirkwood on Oct. 28.
