Oxford man arrested after allegedly trying to break into a vehicle over the weekend

An Oxford man faces an Attempted Burglary charge after allegedly trying to break into a vehicle in Tiffin over the weekend.

Police say 18-year-old Cameron Neuzil of James Avenue Southwest was seen attempting to break into the vehicle on the 100 block of Stephens Street. He was reportedly identified on camera from the reporting party.

A sheriff’s deputy located Neuzil on a nearby street ; he allegedly fled on foot despite multiple commands to stop. Upon contact, he reportedly  had bloodshot watery eyes and slurred speech. A PBT determined Neuzil’s blood-alcohol level to be .117 percent.

He was taken into custody and charged with 3rd degree Attempted Burglary and Public Intoxication. If convicted on both counts, Neuzil could be sentenced to up to 13 months in jail.
