Some Iowa City streets were temporarily shut down Wednesday afternoon for an operation being conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
According to a City of Iowa City news release, at approximately 10am Wednesday the FBI shut down streets around the 400 block of North Lucas Street. City officials say the details of the operation will eventually be released by the FBI public information office.
The news release goes on to say community members experiencing trauma as a result of the operation are encouraged to contact Mobile Crisis Outreach at 1-855-581-8111.
