Two men face charges that they beat a Coralville resident earlier this month.

20-year-old Lavaughnus Harris of Echo Avenue in Oxford and 22-year-old Antonio Joyner of North Short Street in West Liberty were both booked into the Johnson County Jail Friday afternoon. Coralville Police say the two men were in a vehicle driving on 20th Avenue just before 5pm on Monday when they saw the alleged victim standing outside their residence. The two allegedly got out of the car and attacked the person, leaving the alleged victim with injuries to the legs, arms and head.

Harris and Joyner are each charged with Assault Causing Bodily Injury. If convinced, they each face a maximum of one year in jail.

Harris and Joyner were among four juveniles arrested in 2015 for breaking into a Coralville home and stealing a number of guns as well as ammunition and a sword. Police found the group because one of the teens was wearing a GPS bracelet from an earlier conviction.
