While COVID-19 numbers are skyrocketing nationwide because of the delta variant, the University of Iowa reported no new coronavirus cases over the span of its most recent full week of reporting.

According to the school’s latest COVID-19 update, zero new cases were reported among students or faculty between July 28th and last Wednesday. UI officials also reported no residence hall occupants in quarantine or self-isolation. Quarantine is used to keep someone who might have been exposed to COVID-19 away from others, while self-isolation is used to separate people who are infected from those who are not.
