A defiant Iowa City man allegedly told police he would continue to consume alcohol while walking down the middle of the street…despite having just been charged for that specific act.
An Iowa City Police officer reports seeing 26-year-old Antoine Bryant of Wayne Avenue walking down the middle of Muscatine Avenue at Court Street just after 10pm Wednesday. Bryant was allegedly drinking from a bottle of wine. When confronted, Bryant reportedly said he could do whatever he wanted, and that he would continue to drink alcohol in public and walk down the middle of the street.
Bryant was charged with having an open container of alcohol in public.
