Iowa City Police have arrested a Tennessee man they say sent another person to the hospital after a fight outside a downtown bar last spring.
29-year-old Nicholas Kron of Nashville was booked into the Johnson County Jail just before 1pm Saturday. According to arrest records, Kron and another man were arguing outside DC’s on the Ped Mall after bar close on May 23rd when Kron allegedly punched the other man three times in the head, knocking him down and causing a cut. The victim was removed from the scene by three friends and taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Kron is charged with Assault Causing Bodily Injury, a Serious Misdemeanor punishable by a maximum of one year in jail.
