Allegedly assaulting multiple victims at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics has led to an Ottumwa woman’s arrest.
27-year-old Felicia Baxter was booked into the Johnson County Jail just before 3pm Friday. University of Iowa Police say Baxter was being seen in the UIHC ER just after 3am Friday when she allegedly assaulted multiple people. One was a UIHC resident assistant, who suffered a swollen lip.
Another victim was struck in the head multiple times and had to be treated at the UIHC ER for injuries.
Baxter faces charges of Assault on Persons in Certain Occupations Causing Injury, Assault Causing Bodily Injury and two counts of Simple Assault. If convicted on all charges, she faces a maximum of over three years in prison.
