An Iowa City man faces charges that he used fake prescriptions to obtain Oxycodone.

54-year-old Robert Lindsey of the Pheasant Ridge Apartments on Bartelt Road is accused of attempting to use the fake prescriptions at two separate Coralville locations on Wednesday afternoon. Lindsey was turned away from Walgreens on 1st Avenue around 1:30pm, but arrest records indicate he succeeded in obtaining 30 mgs of Oxycodone at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics pharmacy on the Iowa River Landing around 4:15pm. Both incidents were caught on security video.

Lindsey was booked into the Johnson County Jail just after 1am Sunday and charged with two counts of Prohibited Acts and one count of Unlawful Possession of a Prescription Drug. If convicted on all counts, Lindsey faces a maximum of 21 years in prison.
