Allegedly smoking pot while parked at a Hills convenience store has led to the arrest of a Hiawatha woman on drug possession charges.

A sheriff’s deputy at the Casey’s on Main Street detected the odor of marijuana coming from a nearby vehicle Wednesday at around 11:50 pm, and informed 28-year-old Chasidy Roberts that he was going to search the SUV. He reportedly found a bag containing a tin container with a green leafy substance inside. He also allegedly discovered a pipe with a burnt leafy substance, a grinder, a baggie containing a white rock substance, and a small baggie containing multiple Aprazolam tablets.

Roberts was taken into custody and charged with marijuana possession, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. If convicted on all counts, she faces a jail term of up to 25 months.
