A car crash on Highway 6 has led to the arrest of an Iowa City woman.
Johnson County Sheriff’s deputies were called to Highway 6 and Sioux Avenue for a minor property damage accident at 5pm Saturday. One of the drivers involved, 33-year-old Ana Urbina Alcocer of the Breckenridge Estates manufactured housing community, gave a deputy her driver’s license, which came back as barred as a habitual offender through December of 2025.
Urbina Alcocer was arrested and charged with Driving While Barred. If convicted, she faces a maximum of two years in jail.
There were no reported injuries.
