If you’re heading to downtown Iowa City for this weekend’s Jazz Fest, just a reminder that the top three levels of the Tower Place Parking Ramp have been closed for repairs.
The first two levels remain open, and once they fill up, you can park at the Dubuque Street, Capitol Street, or Harrison Street ramps. The Chauncey Swan and Court Street Transportation ramps are also open.
It’s anticipated that it will take two to three months to complete repairs at Tower Place.
Roads closed due to the festival starting at 3pm Friday are:
- Clinton Street from East Jefferson Street to East Washington Street
- Iowa Avenue from Clinton to Jefferson Street.
- North Dubuque Street from Jefferson Street to Iowa Avenue will be closed starting at 6 am Saturday.
In addition to reduced street parking, some ramp and lot parking will be reserved for festival vendors, artists, performers and service vehicles. Look for posted signs indicating restricted parking.
The roads will be reopened on Sunday.
