Cedar Rapids police working Thursday night shots fired case

Cedar Rapids Police are investigating a shots fired incident that occurred Thursday night.

According to a release from the CRPD, officers were dispatched to the 1200 block of 10th Street Northwest on reports of shots fired. Arriving police were able to locate shell casings in the area.

While on scene, police were advised that a male victim walked into a local hospital with a non-life threatening gunshot wound.

Officers at the scene of the shots fired incident collected evidence and interviewed witnesses, but have not released any further information.
