IC man accused of biting stepson’s nose, shoving fiancé to the ground

North Liberty Police say a man bit his stepson’s nose during a physical altercation that also saw him shove his fiancé to the ground, causing minor injuries.

The alleged incident was reported at the Parkview Court residence of 59-year-old Bryan Miller. According to arrest records, just before 11:15 Friday night Miller got into a physical altercation with his stepson, who has lived with Miller within the last year and had just moved back in. Miller allegedly bit the stepson’s nose, which was still bleeding when police arrived.

Miller’s fiancé also reported that he had shoved her to the ground during the alteration. She complained of pain to her arm and ribs. Police say Miller and the woman share a child together.

Miller was arrested and charged with Domestic Abuse Assault Causing Injury and Domestic Abuse Assault– 2nd Offense. If convicted on both charges, he faces a maximum of three years behind bars.
