A man on probation for a Johnson County drug offense is back in custody after a series of events in Dubuque, including harassing the mother of his child.

29-year-old Taylor Miller was booked into the Johnson County Jail just before 4:30 Friday afternoon. Miller was given a five-year suspended sentence in March of 2017 after pleading guilty to a Drug Tax Stamp Violation. Miller was also sentenced to three years of supervision in Johnson County. Other drug charges in the case were dropped.

Dubuque Police say Miller has been harassing the mother of his children, who lives in that city, off and on since January. On January 23rd, he was charged with 3rd Degree Harassment after allegedly sending the woman 102 text messages and calling her 55 times.

On April 23rd, Miller allegedly tried to call the woman 30 times from a “No Caller ID” number and 25 times from his own phone. He’s also accused of vandalizing the woman’s car with green spray paint. Miller was charged with Harassment and Violating a No-Contact Order.

Miller was charged with another count of Violating a No-Contact Order on April 25th after allegedly calling the woman 17 times and texting her 14 times. Dubuque police have also arrested Miller for Driving While Barred multiple times since March, including one incident where he was also charged with 5th Degree Theft for having a stolen license plate on his vehicle.
