Three Hawkeye softball players have collected postseason honors.

Senior pitcher Allison Doocy was named second-team All-Region, the National Fastpitch Coaches Association announced on Thursday.

Doocy, a native of Ankeny, pitched 108.1 innings over 22 games and had an ERA of 2.00. Doocy was 11-5 with two saves. She struck out 109 batters while only walking 27. Doocy threw 11 complete games with four shutouts.

Doocy is ranked eighth in Iowa career pitching appearances (134) and tied for eighth in career complete games (75). She ranks sixth in career strikeouts (730) and is only the sixth Hawkeye to reach 700 strikeouts.

On May 2, she threw the 18th no hitter in program history.

Iowa freshmen Denali Loecker (“lecker”) and Liberty High School graduate Brylee Klosterman have been named to All-Big Ten teams.

Loecker was named second-team All-Big Ten and named to the All-Freshman team. She hit .322 with 28 RBIs, slugged .504 and had an on base percentage of .399.

The Ogden native led the Hawkeyes in batting average, doubles, home runs, RBIs, slugging percentage, and on base percentage.

Klosterman, a North Liberty native, was named to the All-Freshman Team. She hit .316, plated 19 RBIs and hit a team-leading four triples. Klosterman slugged .436 and had a .396 on base percentage.

Loecker is the 41st Hawkeye to receive second-team all-conference honors and the first since Allison Doocy in 2019. Loecker and Klosterman are the first Hawkeyes to be named to the All-Freshman team since the conference began the award in 2018.
