Two people were injured in a two-vehicle accident south of Tipton.
The Iowa State Patrol says a Freightliner semi was travelling southbound on Highway 38 just before 2:15 Wednesday afternoon near 265th Street when an oncoming Toyota Avalon veered into its path.
The collision sent both drivers to the hospital, with the driver of the Avalon being airlifted to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics with life-threatening injuries. The driver of the semi was taken to the UIHC via ambulance with minor injuries.
The accident remains under investigation. The identities of the drivers have not been released.
