An Iowa City fast food employee faces charges that he stole customer credit cards and used them to go on a $2,000 spending spree.

58-year-old Kennard Partee, who lives on Boston Way in Coralville, is accused of taking customer credit cards while he was working at the Iowa City Wendy’s on 1st Avenue between December 14th and December 19th. One card was used to make almost $1,300 in purchases throughout Iowa City and Coralville. Another card was used to make over $800 in purchases.

A backpack seen in multiple surveillance videos was found inside Partee’s apartment. He also allegedly identified himself in a security video where he is seen using one of the stolen credit cards.

Partee was booked into the Johnson County Jail just before 3:15 Sunday morning. He faces two counts each of 3rd Degree Theft and Unauthorized Use of a Credit Card. If convicted on all charges, Partee faces a maximum of eight years in prison.
